It turned out to be the perfect fit — combining my love for animals with the creative, artistic side of grooming. I especially love grooming Standard Poodles. I’ve always been drawn to the clean, structured look of Schnauzers and Airedales too, and I’m excited every time I get to work on those breeds. I grew up around dogs thanks to my mum working professionally with them for many years, so being around animals has always felt completely natural to me. Choosing grooming as a career was an easy decision because it lets me combine my love for dogs with a hands-on, creative job where I’m always learning. I have lots of favourite breeds, but my top three are Rough Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs and Greyhounds. I love how gentle, sweet and beautiful they all are, and I’d happily own any one of them! One of the best parts of starting this career has been meeting so many different breeds and learning about their personalities. So far, my favourite part of the job is seeing the transformations dogs can have, even from just a small tidy-up.
